Photography & art Agian!!

Once more in a photograph I find the inspiration to talk about a piece of artwork, of course neither the photograph or the painting are related. I went to see a play in the street some weeks ago, where people were supposed to take pictures for a contest etc, etc. I was looking over my pictures and one of them briefly reminded me of something I saw before, this is a better picture that i can use to explain:

(Picture by : Patricio Gil Benal)

Sadly my picture wasn't as good the one above and after some research found what crossed my mind in seconds. VOILA.
He is the creator of my dejá vu:

James Ensor's

The Intrigue - 1890

Can you see how much both ladies (the one in yellow and the one in green) are alike, I was impressed by the chance given in the picture. Now let me tell a couple of things about James Ensor and , to me , this macabre scene. Ensor was a Belgian painter who is well known in expressionist painting and also for the aggressive use of color in his style. His artwork is full of paintings of parades of masked people somehow representing beyond materiality or religion a grotesque and fantastic world, were masks are every person's real face. Remarkable result.
